Now that you know the significance of the laws of learning, training becomes simple - just put any behavior you want to teach into the Positive Training Paradigm.

1. Establish a goal. Make a plan. Set up for success.

2. Prevent or ignore unwanted behavior.

3. Teach topography first. (Technique, skill and form.)

4. Associate the word with the desired behavior.

5. Shift context early. (Place, direction, wean prompts.)

6. Plan approximations. (Move up and down ladder.)

7. Raise criteria, raise reward.

(Eye contact, longer, faster, more intense. Add toys.)
